Sausage Soup

This post was to be included on Tuesday this week to be part of a fall recipe blog hop at Girl Talk. Check out the end of the post for the button to get other fall recipes. This is another recipe from the recipe book that my mom made me when I got my first apartment. She knew this was another of my favorites.

Sausage Soup

1 lb of bulk sausage or can use keilbasa
1 small onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 glove garlic, minced ( I used a little over a teaspoon of jarred minced garlic)
28 oz. canned diced tomato
2 cups bow tie pasta
6 cups water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon worchestershire sauce
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tsp. dried basil
t tsp. thyme
salt and pepper to taste.

Brown Sausage. I used turkey sausage and it was just as good. Healthier. I couldn't find the bulk sausage so I had to squeeze it out of the casing. This can be cooked in the soup pot.

Add onion, green pepper and garlic. Cook until tender.
Add tomatoes and water. Bring to boil.
Add the pasta and spices.
Bring back to boil and cook until pasta is tender.
Yummo!
